England’s Matthew Nixon ‘European Tour Player’

Matt Nixon with a final round of one under 71, secured his European Tour Card for 2011 at PGA Calalunya Resort after finishing at with a twelve under par 416 total. 34 players also collected their cards, with nine under par 419 being the qualifying score after the six round marathon.

It was a tough day for England Amateur Matthew Southgate, who carded a 75 leaving him in 42nd place.

Chris Lloyd’s one under 71 left him in 56th place. However both Southgate and Lloyd gain ‘Category 7’ cards on the Challenge Tour and ‘Category 14’ cards on the European Tour.
