Nathan Kimsey pipped again in New South Wales Amateur Medal

Victoria’s Thomas Horan (Cheltenham GC) has won the NSW Medal, which was reduced to 54 holes after a violent electrical storm swept across Sydney this afternoon. His winning score of 207 was just one clear of England’s Nathan Kimsey.

Horan’s fantastic third round of 67 at Bonnie Doon in the strong southerly leap frogged him into the lead. This was then denounced the final positions after the conditions became too dangerous for play to continue.

England’s Garrick Porteous finished third  on 209, with Neil Raymond 7th on 213
