England’s Nathan Kimsey has an emphatic win in the Peter McEvoy Trophy

England Under 18 star Nathan Kimsey won the Peter McEvoy Trophy today by six strokes after carding two final rounds of 69 and 67. His 272 total of 12 under par left him six clear of Surrey’s Greg Payne on 278 who was a further stroke clear of 2010 winner Welshman Rhys Pugh.

Ireland’s Dermot McElroy finished 4th after stunning the field with a course record breaking ten under par 61 around Copt Heath giving him a 72 hole total 280.

Callun Shinkwin joint leader after 36 holes finished in eight place after rounds of 70 and 77 today.

Kimsey now goes on to contest the Junior International at Sage Valley Golf Club in Georgia USA on 20th – 22nd April. His confidence will be very high and we wish him well.
